In the past, horse riding in Singapore was an expensive interest in which one had to pay costly membership fees in order to go for riding lessons.

Thankfully, it has now become more accessible and affordable to the general public as more centres offer lessons without requiring riders to pay for club membership.

Now, you and your kids can definitely have more options apart from a leisure ride on a pony in the zoo.

Here are five of the best stables Singapore has when it comes to horse riding.

Our recommendations of places to take kids horse riding in Singapore

1. Bukit Timah Saddle Club

Nestled in the tranquillity of Fairways Drive is the Bukit Timah Saddle Club (BTSC) where you will find keen equestrians and beautiful horses galloping in the open space. It is an approved centre of the British Horse Society so you can be certain that it maintains the highest standards of safety, horse welfare and best coaching practices.

Although BTSC is a private club, it provides riding lessons for the general public. There are pony rides that are available every Saturday and Sunday morning and these rides provide kids (3 to 12 years old) an introductory experience to the thrills of horse-back riding.

If you are keen to take up riding lessons, you can consider the Public Riding Programme that is sold in a package of 4 lessons. Other activities include photo shoot opportunities with a horse, trail rides and you can even hire a pony for your little one’s birthday.
